SP Ultraflex Systems Ltd. was established in 1987 by Mr. Ravi K, a keen visionary in the field of Flexible Packaging and Converting and soon joined by Mr. Biku K, under whose guidance the company made huge strides in the direction of continuous Product Development and Innovations.
By 2003, the company had consolidated itself as a reputed source for high end Converting Equipment including Rotogravure Printing Presses, Solvent based / Solvent less Lamination equipments and Slitting and Rewinding Machines.
Thereafter the Company took a strategic decision to re-align its manufacturing Program to focus exclusively on Slitting and Rewinding Machines, Web Inspection and Rewinding Machines, Doctoring and re-reeling machines.
These machines can handle the entire range of Flexible packaging substrates in their Plain / Printed / Coated / Co-extruded and Laminated combinations of base materials such as Paper (including label stock), Plastic films such as OPP, PET, CPP, PVC, POF and Aluminum foil.
Today, SP Ultraflex Systems Ltd. is widely acknowledged in the flexible packaging industry circles as a specialist manufacturer of High speed Slitting and Rewinding Machines. The customer profile includes the leading and most reputed Flexible Packaging and Converting companies in India and overseas, particularly the Middle east and African countries
The Company has adopted Duplex, Differential Center-Winding Technology as its base and the Machine is offered in three different configurations depending on the specific application and preference of the Customer :
- Unwind section integrated with the main machine and on the side opposite to the Rewind section as in the case of the DSR RL 400 (Rear loading version)
- Unwind section integrated with the main machine and beneath the Rewind section as in the case of the DSR FL 400 (Front loading version)
- Unwind section free standing on a separate Unwind frame and on the side opposite to the Rewind section as in the case of the ULTRASLIT OHP 500 (Overhead web path)
The Company is located in the outskirts of Mumbai (the commercial hub of India), in the Industrial belt of Mira Road, a mere 30 minute drive from both the Domestic and International airports of Mumbai.

Today the industry has at its disposal the latest technology for automation of the converting process. However, care must be taken while implementation that technology empowers and not overpowers the user. While replacing old technology with new, it is important that the interface of the new technology with the user be intuitive and not restrictive or else the very purpose of a technology upgrade is defeated.
